FROST EPISODES AND LOCATIONS
SERIES 1.
Series 1. Episode 1. CARE AND PROTECTION
A similar storyline to the very first Frost book, Frost At Christmas, by R. D. Wingfield, but different in so many other ways.
Care and Protection is the A Touch Of Frost Pilot episode. It was first shown in 1992. DI Jack Frost has 3 things on his mind...coping with his terminally ill wife, supervising a 30 year old case, and trying to find a young girl who's disappeared.
Very loosely based on the 1st Frost book FROST AT CHRISTMAS, published in 1990, which finds our hero dealing with a missing girl and quite a few unconnected crimes occurring..
Finding Jack's house was very difficult. I asked at Leeds Bus Station Information Desk which bus to catch. The information given was of no help whatsoever. I walked around Leeds asking various people if they knew how to get to Primley Park Crescent. One kind lady told me which Stop to wait at. Bus trip took awhile, but the driver told me where to get off. Still unsure of where i was, I asked a lady pushing a pram and she pointed me to the street sign behind me. I was where I wanted to be. Lol. I had found Jack's house. Front door has changed slightly but that's about it. I've erased the car reg and house number for obvious reasons
Series 1. Episode 2. NOT WITH KINDNESS. This episode is loosely based on the Night Frost and A Touch Of Frost books by R. D. Wingfield
Not With Kindness in this episode deals with another missing girl, an harassed lady, vandalism at a churchyard; as well as having to cope with his recently deceased's wife sister, especially as they have a mutual dislike for each other

This episode involves the death of a Frost informant, as well as racial tensions on an estate. This episode first aired in 1994
In the first 50 seconds of this episode, burglar alarms can be heard going off in the town centre of Denton, notably by Savers and the Blue Cup Cafe. Castleford doubles for Denton a lot throughout A Touch Of Frost.
Castleford is in West Yorkshire, a market town, in the City of Wakefield. It is the site of a Roman settlement. The rugby team is called Castleford Tigers.
58 seconds into this episode, the Blue Cup Cafe's sign is shown. I love this cafe. I have been to this cafe a few times over the years. Despite my stammer, it never seems to be an issue for the always pleasant and courteous staff. Great food and delicious coffee. Highly recommended.
Seacroft Hospital doubled as Denton Hospital. Exterior and interior scenes were often filmed there.
1 hour, 2 mins and 29 seconds into this episode Frost can be seen walking along the hospital corridor
SEACROFT HOSPITAL is shown in many FROST episodes. Here's a couple of pics of the older buildings which may have been in use around time of filming
Series 2. Episode 2. WIDOWS AND ORPHANS
27 mins into this episode, Frost is inside the wonderful Adelphi pub, Leeds having a drink and chat. I truly love this pub with it's rich history and incredible decor.

A student is attacked on campus. And a postmistress is murdered
This was a favourite location find for me, as it happened to coincide with a lovely day out in Scarborough on what was a gloriously sunny day, spent with my wife, my Mum and my Granddaughter. I even tried the same pose in the same position Frost was in this episode; shame Candy Floss is now in Tubs !!
The actual episode scene I've recreated here appears 36 minutes and 22 seconds into the episode. I am standing as close to the original scene as possible.
This episode aired in 1996
Sadly, the upstairs of Winking Willy's Fish Shop was as full as the downstairs on that day. so I could not recreate the scene where Frost is having lunch. If the chance arises in the future, then I will add the photo on here.
SERIES 5
Series 5. Episode 3. True Confessions
Linton Lane, Linton, near Wetherby. 1 hour and 29 mins and 53 secs into this episode a house belonging to 2 characters is shown on this Lane. I couldn't find the exact house sadly as many are set way back from the road and many are surrounded by high stone walls. Maybe one day I'll find the exact house.
This episode involves Frost getting suspended. And 2 rich brothers get suspected of murder.
27 minutes and 39 seconds into the episode we see this house on the junction with Mill Lane, at Bridge Foot in Thorp Arch. I tried to get as close as possible with this shot to the image shown on screen. All that is missing from my shot is the red car

Series 9. Episode 1. MISTAKEN IDENTITY
8 minutes and 41 seconds into this episode, we see Rose Cottage on Barwick Road, in Garforth. It has changed so much since this episode was filmed. looks so much brighter now. I've erased the house number for obvious reasons. Despite having cycled past this building over a hundred times in the late 80s when I worked at the nearby Golf Club, I cannot recall seeing this house. It took me quite some finding it. Thank you Google Maps !!!
